Randa Al Chidiac has been the Director of the AUD Library since December 2022. Her areas of interest include strategic planning, budget management, assessment, information literacy instruction, and reference services. Prior to this position, Al Chidiac served as the Director of the Grants & Projects Unit at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), Lebanon.
 

Her experience in the library profession began in 2000 as the Electronic Resources Librarian in the University of Balamand (UOB) where she was also an instructor of information literacy and research skills. She then joined USEK in 2019 as Executive Director of the University Library where she reorganized the organizational and operational structure of the University library and the branch libraries and expanded the library network through a strong public relation strategy.
 

Most notable positions that she has held include President of the Lebanese Library Association and the Lebanese Blue Shield Committee. She is active in various committees of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). She is currently a member of the MENA Regional Division and a facilitator and trainer in the IFLA Building Stronger Library Associations (BSLA) program, as well as the International Advocacy Programme (IAP) supporting the 2030 UN SDG Agenda.
